Today i received news that our coach Jimmy Heta has made it to the finals for the Waikato Region SPARC volunteer coach of the year award. We nominated Jimmy as a way of showing our appreciation for his coaching over the past four years, and for his ongoing dedication to the sport of dragon boating and waka ama.

There were a total of 692 nominations for 340 individuals so CONGRATULATIONS to Jimmy and we wish you the best of luck for making the finals. We will keep you posted on the outcome.

Unfortunately this is how far Jimmy actually got, but he said he enjoyed the free feed!! Congrats anyway for making it this far. His words not mine, but next time he said to flower up the nomination more. Ha i thought i did
